Young Money's next budding superstar, had some concerning complications over the weekend when she went for a routine laser eye surgery. The rapper took a break from preparing her debut 'Pink Friday' to opt for the surgery, which will allow her to live life without contact lenses.
"Dear Barbz, please pray I'm eligible for this laser eye thingy," she tweeted late last week. "TiredOfSquinting.Com *gets in truck* Love always, HB and Roman."
To translate, Minaj didn't know if her eyes would work with the routine surgery. She asked for the love and prayers of her fans to make sure everything went OK. Yet according to another missive over the weekend, Nicki actually experienced a problem during the procedure that resulted in an emergency surgery and a healthy bruise around her eyes.
"The Lasik was a success," she updated. "Thx 2 every1 who prayed :) I was rushed bak in 4 emergency surgery but now I'm good. A lil bruise but God is good."
The setback was apparently pretty minor. According to a tweet from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj was back to work and in the studio with the great Yeezy on Sunday. She is slated to appear on West's fifth album and we're sure she might get a little production from Ye for her own work, which is also slated for release in November.
